My brief summary of the book
Hermione is the daughter of the most beautiful woman in the world, the famed Helen of Troy. Handsome yet sneaky, Prince Paris of Troy kidnaps Helen with the help of Aphrodite, goddess of love. Hermione knows that she must stand with the Greeks to get Helen back from the clutches of Troy. After 10 stressful long years of war, Pyrrhus, the detestable son of Achilles, forced Hermione to marry him. But Hermione wants to marry her handsome cousin Orestes. Will Hermione escape from Pyrrhus and marry her cousin?
My thoughts
When I was looking for more Carolyn Meyer books (I’m a huge fan of her work), I just happened to find this book on Amazon. I was immediately hooked when I saw that it was about Greek mythology. I was looking forward to reading this book, but I was slightly disappointed when I started reading it. The chapters were so LONG, and it was so SLOW. However, the book was undoubtedly riveting. I enjoyed reading from Hermione’s perspective, which I didn’t know much about. Even though the book was slow, I was captivated. The plot had a lot of extraordinary twists that amused me. To be honest, this is not my favorite Carolyn Meyer book.
