My brief summary of the book

A boy named Aster is meant to become a shapeshifter, but Aster is fascinated by witchcraft (forbidden for boys) that his sister and his girl cousins learn. So, he always spies on the girl’s lessons but always gets caught. One night, when animals seek the boys out to teach their first form on the equinox, Aster saw his cousin Sedge getting kidnapped by a sinister demon. Now Aster’s boy cousins are starting to disappear mysteriously. Will Aster find his cousins back and find out who is taking them?

My thoughts

The cover of this book is very dark and intriguing as well. The palette of the book is dark-colored and a bit earthy too. The story was strange, captivating, and different in a good way! I would love to keep reading the series! Follow your heart!

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
