My brief summary of the book

Everyone in Torak village thinks Marya’s brother, Luka, will become a sorcerer like many men. It is the Tradition that every boy must get evaluated to see if the boy is magic or not. Everyone hopes that Luka is a sorcerer while Marya always has to be in her brother’s shadow. When the day finally came, Marya made a colossal mistake by accidentally letting the goat out and yelling at a high count. A letter arrived at the family saying that Marya must go to Dragomir Academy for troubled girls. Will Marya make the best of her time in Dragomir?

My thoughts

The Troubled Girls of Dragomir Academy is a captivating, fabulous book that I highly recommend to fantasy fans. I enjoyed the magical elements, but I loved the world-building and the descriptions of things in the story the most. My favorite characters are intelligent Elana and Cute Katya. Overall, an excellent book with lovely descriptions.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
