My brief summary of the book

Greg Heffley, a teenage boy, seriously needs a step up in the game of love. Everyone he knows has a girlfriend. He and his friend Rowley are the only ones who don’t have a girlfriend. A dance in his middle school is coming up, and Greg needs to find a date for the big night. He finally asks a girl named Abigail, and with Rowley, they are going to the dance party as “group friends.” Will Greg have a successful date and not let Rowley overshadow him? Who will end up being the third wheel?

My thoughts

This book is hilarious. The book is full of jokes and has a teen vibe. I understand how Greg feels about finding a date and sympathize with him. A middle school is a place full of challenges! The illustrations in black and white cartoony style are good.

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
