Alex and his friends Lina and Yadi are ready for another boring summer of mowing lawns and yard work. But Alex’s sister had the fantastic idea of starting a detective agency with their grandpa’s help. Before they knew it, they were looking for Al Capone’s hidden treasure in Florida. They had a few ideas on where it might be, and one of those places is the Florida Everglades. But when they went to the Florida Everglades, they came across some hazardous waste that killed the surrounding wildlife, and now it’s up to the Sherlock Society to find whoever dumped the trash and stop them.
I couldn’t put this book down – it completely captivated me from start to finish. The narrative was skillfully presented from Alex’s point of view, allowing me to unravel the case alongside him. Every character was intricately developed, and the story’s backdrop was utterly fascinating. As a fan of mystery novels, I was pleasantly taken aback by the incorporation of Al Capone into the narrative. I recommend this book to anyone who appreciates a gripping mystery with a solid moral compass.
