My brief summary of the book

Anastasia and Edward Upston, twelve-year-old twins, fly to London, England, to meet their dear friend Dr. G and other people from the Order of Time (book 1). When they finally arrived, they didn’t receive a warm welcome from the Order. The Order wanted to test them if they were good enough to be admitted into a school for The Order of Time members-in-Training. They were supposed to be in 1400s Strasbourg, Germany, but instead, they accidentally traveled into the time of the Vikings! They must help the Vikings defeat an evil dragon named Nidhogg before it’s too late. Will they beat Nidhogg and come back home in one piece?

My thoughts

Be ready to be transported to the Nordic lands, where extraordinary creatures like dragons, zombies, giants, and enormous animals live among fearless gods and goddesses. Thanks to this book, I learned about marvelous Norse Myths, like Odin’s door. The order of time and Odin’s Door is a fast-paced adventure filled with surprises, a few well-placed scares, and humor.

The two main characters, Anastasia and Edward, were clever, fiercer, and more courageous than ever. I felt like they grew up right before my eyes. I must admit that some of the illustrations of the monsters were a tiny bit scary.

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
