Spoiler Alert if you didn’t read the first book.

Evie saved her aunt from the Dark Sun Side, an evil alternate universe. However, ghosts are disappearing from Blight Harbor, including Florence, Evie’s best friend’s house ghost. Des, Evie’s aunt, took her to a meeting with people who knew about the Dark Sun Side. They explained that doors to the Dark Sun Side were opening in Blight Harbor, causing the ghosts to vanish.

Evie is worried about Florence and decides to search for her. While looking for Florence, she meets a girl named Portia. Portia tricks Evie into going to the Dark Sun Side to complete a task. Portia wants the soul light, which can be found in a Nighthouse – a lighthouse for ghosts that leads them to safety. In exchange for completing this task, Portia promises to let Evie go home. Will Evie be able to find the soul light and make it out of the Dark Sun Side?

The Nightlight Keeper is the sequel to the Blight Harbor trilogy.
I loved the first book, The Clackity, so much, so I loved this book just as much.
The Nighthouse Keeper was very captivating and full of plot twists. From all the Details about the Dark Sun Side, it seems like a horrible place; if I were to go there, I would never make it out.
Evie finds a ghost stuck in the Dark Sun Side in this book. Her name is Lark. Lark is a very confident and fearless character; she even has a pet spider. There will be a book 3 because of how this book ends. I noticed that if you don’t include the acknowledgments, there are exactly 300 pages.

It is a perfect fit for a spooky Halloween book. But even if Halloween has just ended, it doesn’t mean you must stop reading scary stories, right?

This book is the ideal book for a fan of creepy horror fiction.
