A dare to kiss a stranger sparks unexpected events in SSara’ssenior year.
Sara Lin, who has just turned 18, is starting her senior year of high school. Having never been kissed before, she finds herself in an unexpected situation on the night of her birthday. Her best friend, Patrick, playfully dares her to kiss a random boy in the subway. Unfortunately, the attempt doesn’t go well, and she ends up being rejected. Join Sara as she navigates her final year of high school, filled with bets, math tutoring, and crushes.
This graphic novel is one of the best examples of realistic fiction I’ve encountered so far. From the moment I started reading, I was captivated and didn’t want it to end. The humor, engaging plot, and well-developed characters indeed drew me in.
Sara, a spunky and hilarious young lady, provided many laughs with her antics throughout the story. Patrick, equally humorous, adds a mischievous flair that keeps things exciting. In contrast, Oliver, the subway boy, comes across as stern and a bit aloof. His brother, Joseph—often called Joe—is kind-hearted and very popular with the girls.
I highly recommend this book to fans of realistic fiction, especially those who enjoy a generous dose of humor.
