My brief summary of the book

Addie B. can’t wait to see her boy cousins (Jack, Bodie, and Beanie) for Christmas! But today it’s shopping day with her mom. As they walk down a street in Chinatown, Addie B. sees a mysterious shop called “The Ruby Lantern.” She had the urge to enter the shop. A weird old Chinese man told Addie that she must keep the ruby safe from harm and return it to its owner. Addie can’t wait for her cousins to finally land in London and solve this mystery all together. But the shop disappeared when they all went to Chinatown! They must find a way to go to the world of Ambra before it’s too late.

My thoughts

Be ready to embark on another great Addie B. and her cousins’ adventure.

First, I love the bamboo forest on the cover because it looks peaceful and quiet. Like the other books of the series, the story is full of surprises and filled with twists and turns you don’t expect. I missed some characters from the other books and the tranquil Garden of Choices. I can’t wait for the final book 5 to be published.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.

About the author

“Hi! I’m Eileen Hobbs! I live in Oklahoma, but I’m not a true Okie because I grew up in Thailand’s beautiful and exotic country. I am married and have two grown sons and two dogs. I teach English composition to international students at a nearby university. I always say my students are my window to the world!! I love traveling, gardening, and spending time with my family. My book, The Heath Cousins and the Moonstone Cave, is based on my kids and their cousins when they were young and having wonderful imaginary adventures.” – Amazon.
