A collection of short stories about a girl recording her experience in middle school.

Clara Frank was told to keep a diary documenting her experiences in middle school. Read on about her daring and fascinating adventures in her journal.

First, I would like to congratulate Miss Grayson, a 12-year-old teenager who wrote this book; That makes those stories relatable and fun.

This book captures a girl just trying to survive middle school like everyone else. I loved her big family; they were all heartwarming! I love warm family experiences. But I wished it featured more about middle school than at home; it overpowered the subject of this book.

Clara has a big heart and a lot to learn growing up. Her big sister Sasha is what you expect from one; she can be kind and mean simultaneously. Izzy, the little sister, is slightly a spoiled brat. Clara’s parents are kindhearted and loving.

The theme of The Extraordinary Adventures of an Ordinary Girl is to learn from your mistakes as you pass the road of life. I recommend this book to anyone entering or who is in Middle school.

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

About the author

“E. Grayson is a young author from the Midwest. Besides being passionate about writing, she enjoys cuddling with her cats, reading, and losing in Mario Kart to her little sister. She is still trying to survive middle school (if that’s even possible) as best as she can. Extraordinary Adventures of an Ordinary Girl is her debut collection of short stories. She is busily working on her next book!” – Amazon.
