Can one girl and a specter trapped in an umbrella discover what is happening in Brimstone Paradise?

Colette Planchette has the second smell, which allows her to talk with her ghost friend, Lucian, through smell. Colette also aspires to be a stop-motion filmmaker artist, so one day, she escapes her Uncle Pierre to go to Nettlewood to fulfill her dreams. After slightly injuring herself before, she stopped at Brimstone Paradise to rest. This village is a doomed town, which means only mannequins are supposed to live there. A harlequin named Heliquist lives there, and upon meeting him, Colette and Lucian realize this village doesn’t seem as peaceful as it looks.

This creative book was sent to me from England and had much British humour.
The Doom Town Dummies by Liam R. Findlay is a suspenseful adventure with supernatural twits that will draw you on a wild and eerie journey.
Sensing ghosts through smell was a fun idea, and it reminded me of how Tanjiro Kamado felt demons through his sense of smell.
I learned some new concepts like Doom Town and Harlequin. The mannequins were pretty freaky.

The drawings and the map of Brimstone Paradise in the story were well-drawn and helped the creative touch in the story.

Colette has an adventurous spirit. She’s creative and also a great friend. Lucian is a worry-wart, which makes him funny, and he’s my favorite character. Helquist is a sneaky character.

Give this book to anyone who loves a spooky and entertaining book with a touch of supernatural powers.

Happy Reading, Paige ❤️ 📚
