A princess who lost her kingdom to usurpers fights to regain her rightful claim on the throne.

Princess Briana, or Brie, has the worst night of her life. Invaders had killed her parents and her brother. When all seemed lost, three men found her. Their names were Flinton, Derek, and Kove. They, fortunately, saved Brie and brought her far away from the kingdom. They tell her they were Blameless, people with magical gifts that can only be used for good. Brie learns she is one of them too. She must use her powers to save her kingdom.

This book takes place in an imaginary kingdom that seems like the real world, yet it’s not. I loved the magical gifts and would like to learn more about them. However, the beginning of the book is slow-paced. There were some parts I wished would go faster. But then the action picks up, and you would enjoy the exciting characters, the beautiful writing, and the world set up.

Brie is a brave warrior princess and also a great friend. She sometimes cracked me up. Flinton is among the sweetest powerful guys and behaves like a good big brother. Derek is the serious one but very loyal. Kove is the funniest of the lot.

The theme of The Blameless is “One selfless deed can change the course of history”-The Blameless summary. I recommend this book to fantasy lovers who love adventure and humor.

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
