My brief summary of the Beatryce Prophecy
At the Order of the Chronicles of Sorrowing monastery, Brother Edik discovers a girl in Answelica, the demon goat’s pen. The girl had a nasty fever, and when she recovered, she couldn’t remember who she was. But she could only remember her name: Beatryce. Brother Edik disguises Beatryce as a mute monk because she can read and write (only men can read and write). One day, she meets a boy named Jack Dory, and she soon realizes that she must see the king.
My thoughts
The Beatryce Prophecy is a beautifully written and illustrated book in a magical medieval world. I originally borrowed this book from the library, but I loved it so much that I wanted a copy of this book. I will treasure this book and read this story many times. I liked the illustrations as much as the story because they are so well-drawn that it makes me want to draw them. I highly recommend this book for the love/power of words.
