9-year-old Grace was about to start 3rd grade, but one day, she noticed she could hover in the air when jumping on her trampoline before falling. With a bit of practice, she could practically fly. She kept this a secret until her best friend, Adrian, caught her flying during school. When Grace told her mom about this, it was no coincidence that flying was passed down to all the females in the family. Grace has to protect her family’s secrets and face many challenges with her flying ability.

The Adventure of Amazing Grace is a cross between fantasy and realistic fiction. The book is an excellent and short read; I recommend the book to 3-5 graders. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in one day.
The book represents some problems we face in life, like bullying at school.
This book discusses family bonds, friendship, and Spanish culture. Each new Spanish word has a short definition in the margin with a cute butterfly and a glossary at the end.
Many times before, I have wished that I could fly. It would be a remarkable ability to have.
Fun fact: the font in this book is Dyslexic friendly!
Overall, it is a fantastic book to read.

Give this book to young readers who love a magical adventure with friendship and how to overcome your fears.
