Freya always had strong opinions and never hesitated to express them. However, after experiencing some humiliating defeats, she learned to keep her thoughts to herself. But when she discovers that the town’s local celebrity isn’t the hero everyone believes him to be, she can’t stay silent any longer. Benjamin Wellstone, the so-called hero, has made it clear that he believes women shouldn’t have the right to vote or express their opinions. Freya is determined to challenge this perception. She believes that celebrating such a figure is unacceptable, and she won’t stop until everyone hears and understands her viewpoint.
I was really excited to read this book because I had previously enjoyed another book by the same author. It’s an understatement to say that I loved that book, and this one exceeded my expectations. I was hooked from the very beginning, thanks to the author’s strong opinions. Freya was my favorite character, naturally, with her bold and confident personality and her quirks, which I found relatable. The plot was also fascinating, and I appreciated how relentless Freya was throughout the story.
Overall, I highly recommend this book to any fan of the author. It is truly a great read.
