My summary of the book

Everyone knows the story of Sleeping Beauty; the princess pricks her finger on the spinning wheel, true love’s kiss, etc. But that’s not what happened, not by a long shot. Meet Briony, the forgotten little sister of sleeping beauty. When Briony wakes up, things change. Her sister, Rosalin, was kissed by her prince. Everyone thinks the danger is over, but it is far from over. The Thornwood is taking over the castle. Briony and Rosalin must work together to conquer it once and for all.

My thoughts

I read the second book in the series first: Glass Slippers, and I loved it. But I have to confess I even like this one more! I’ve always admired Sleeping Beauty (which is my favorite fairytale). When I was young, this intoxicating story enchanted me.

The story had lots of details about the castle and the dreadful Thornwood. My favorite was Princess Rosalin because she sounded fancy and a bit sassy.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
