My summary of the book
Chaya Linder is a teenage Jewish girl living in Poland during the Nazi occupation. After her sister and brother disappear, the danger is at every corner. Chaya must fight for Jewish people’s rights, and thanks to her fair features, she became a courier for the Akiva Resistance. On one of Akiva’s missions, a tragic accident devastates the Resistance. Now Chaya is on her own with another member named Esther to free Warsaw from the Nazi’s grip. Will they succeed?
My thoughts
Resistance is an inspirational, emotional, and chilling book. Scary because my stomach twisted with the Nazis’ horror, and some parts of the story were sad.
Inspirational because Chaya and her Resistance team are brave and fearless.
This historical fiction book is well-researched and so suspenseful. It’s well-written that the author makes you feel like you’re there.
