My summary of the book

Jordan Banks, a seventh-grader artist, is about to attend a wealthy private school called Riverdale Academy. At first, Jordan wanted to go to an art school, but his parents decided differently. Jordan is a minority among the wealthy kids. He tried hard to fit in.

Jordan will face many ups and downs in this school, even being surprised. Thankfully, Jordan makes friends along the way: Liam and Drew. Together, Jordan and his friends can withstand every challenge this school throws, even bullies.

My thoughts

The book hooked me as soon as I started to read. Being a new kid in school and trying to fit in is hard. I was interested to know what was going to happen next.

Some parts of the story were humorous, and I loved the main character’s jokes but not the bully Andy’s jokes. Another good thing is that the end is unpredictable.

I could easily picture the story. The color palette was warm/pastel colors, and the details were sharp.

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
