Warning: Spoiler Alert

After unraveling Nick and ultimately restarting the timeline, Joan finds herself in a new and dangerous reality.

Joan Hunt-Chang, a sixteen-year-old half-monster, brings her family back to life by undoing Nick. However, in this new timeline, Nick is an ordinary schoolboy with no memory of Joan or being a monster slayer. The timeline is trying to bring them together again, but when it starts to happen, disaster strikes. Guards from the Monster Court attack Joan and Nick, and they barely escape with their lives into the future.
Joan and Nick must work together to defeat the enemy that caused all their problems in the first place.

Fans of the series, get ready for a thrilling ride! The second book is packed with unexpected twists and turns that will leave you on the edge of your seat, and the ending is very shocking—making the Only a Monster series my favorite thus far!

The determined and brave protagonist, Joan, is back and better than ever, making her my favorite character in the series. Nick also shines in this book, showing off his strengths and skills in ways that will impress readers. The villain is as ruthless as ever, making this a must-read for fans of the first book.

You won’t be disappointed with this exciting addition to the series.
