My brief summary of Nat Enough
Natalie, Nat for short, is excited to start middle school because She can’t wait to be with her best friend Lily again. Lily moved during the summer; she was busy and couldn’t see Natalie. But at school, Lily ignores her because she thinks Nat isn’t cool enough. Even more unsure, Natalie is desperate to get Lily back. Along the way, she made two new friends, Zoe and Flo. Will Nat get her best friend Lily back?
Laly’s thoughts
I found Nat Enough fun and easy to read. It was funny that it always didn’t work when Nat tried to get Lily. I like the artwork because it reminds me of the books of Emmie and her friends. In my opinion, I found the ending a bit quick. In conclusion, I thought this book was full of different characters and humorous.
Paige’s thoughts
The story is all right. Natalie was kind of whiny at first about how she’s “not enough,” but in the end, Natalie finally learned not to care about what people say to her. The art is very cartoony. The palette is bold and pastel colors. Overall, a delightful graphic novel with a good moral in the end.
Laly’s rating
Have you ever lost a close friend, or ended a friendship? It’s hard for kids and a graphic novel can be a great way to help them to validate their feelings.
