Melanie is on a quest to find her perfect dream date.

The Dream Date dance is approaching, and many boys eagerly ask Melanie out. Despite Melanie hoping for an attractive, drop-dead gorgeous guy, most boys don’t fit the bill. However, that all changes when George Gibson enters the picture. When George asks her out, Melanie immediately accepts. But, after going on a date with him, she starts questioning her choice. Will Melanie be able to find her true dream date?

This book again takes me to the captivating world of the Super Secret series. As a lover of the series, I was pleased to find that even though the superheroes were not prominently featured in this story, that did not detract from the book’s charm.

The protagonist, Melanie, is a well-crafted character who undergoes a remarkable transformation throughout the narrative, making her a fascinating personality to follow. Violet, Melanie’s friend, is the epitome of loyalty, providing a much-needed support system for the protagonist. However, George’s character, who initially seemed amicable, turns out to be deceitful and untrustworthy.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a heartwarming story about finding love. The story’s underlying theme is the age-old adage, “Don’t judge a book by its cover,” or, in this case, “Don’t judge a boy by his looks.” If you are a series fan or looking for an enjoyable read, this book should be on your list.
