My brief summary of the book

Martin Luther King Jr, a peaceful, non-violent man, worked to create equality for black and white people. He used the teachings of Thoreau, Jesus, and Gandhi to create his non-violent protests. Before Martin made History, he was a loving husband and father.

My thoughts

This biography is heartwarming and pleasant to read. The best thing is that the authors shared not only Martin Luther King Jr accomplishments and how he became the man he was (family history). I enjoyed the drawings that the illustrator made; it was very realistic.

I knew his story, of course, but it was an excellent refreshment and addition of some knowledge about him.

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
