“Move the stones, or you will be still.”

Mario was a lazy man. Because of his laziness, he was in search of a job. One day Mario came across an olive grove with thirteen trees in each row. There he met an older woman named Luna and a black cat named Fortuna. Luna gave him the work of moving stones from a mountain to her grove to make a wall. In reward for his hard work, she will feed him. But Mario was so lazy he barely did any job, no matter how many warnings he got from a mysterious nobody saying, “Move the stones, or you’ll be still.” However, Mario discerns something unusual with Luna and Fortuna. Will Mario complete the task he was given? Or will Mario end up being still?

I attended a book party in March, where the author read a couple of chapters from this book. I had a lot of fun at those virtual parties.

The author did a fantastic job presenting her book, and I decided to read it because of that and because there is a cat in it.

I enjoyed this book. It was nice, short, and sweet.

This book had a precious lesson or theme and would be perfect for kids ages 6 to 10.

The theme of this book is to work hard or be active.

I loved the drawings that make sense throughout the story. I wouldn’t really find books with pictures nowadays.

My favorite character was Fortuna because she was a cat. Best of all, Fortuna was based on the real Fortuna!Happy Reading, Laly ❤️
