Kinsley is known as the most intelligent person in the Critter Camp. She has vast knowledge about animals, except for snakes. Unfortunately, she was assigned to take care of them and needed help with how to do it. While feeding her corn snake, she noticed it didn’t eat the mouse she provided. Later, the snake started to shed its skin, causing her to turn off the UV light. Unfortunately, the snake is now motionless and unresponsive. On top of that, the Critter Camp counselors hold a trivia night with a fantastic prize at stake. Kinsley’s reputation as the Critter Camp Queen is at risk, and she must solve the problem before she becomes known as the Corn Snake Killer.

I enjoyed reading the first book of Critter Camp and found it to be an outstanding read. So, I was filled with anticipation for the second book. The storyline of the second book is equally as captivating as the first book, if not more so.

The character of Kinsley, who reminds me of a brilliant friend who knows everything about everything, is exceptionally well-crafted. The supporting cast of friends who rally around Kinsley, providing support and encouragement, is a joy to read about.

The story’s unique setting makes me yearn to experience Critter Camp.

This book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a good camp and animal story.
