Harper always believed it was his duty to help his uncle take care of the junkyard. One night, when he saw a strange light flickering around, he felt compelled to investigate. To his surprise, he encountered a giant bug-like creature named Lyt, who was searching for a “keeper.” Harper happened to possess this keeper, so in exchange, Lyt promised to take him to the world from which he came—Murkmor. Now, Harper and Lyt must navigate the complex terrain of Murkmor together.

I absolutely loved this book! It was captivating, and I enjoyed learning more about Murlmor alongside Lyt and Harper. While I appreciated all the characters, Lyt was my favorite due to his brave and selfless nature. Harper, a curious character, is a great explorer at heart. Along their journey, they also befriended Crowll, who appeared to be a powerful and wise figure. Together, they truly make up an amazing team. The setting was intriguing, and I appreciated the attention to detail. Also, a really cool detail that I loved was the fact that the son of the author drew the cover!

Overall, I recommend this book to anyone looking for a fantastic fantasy that will keep you on your toes.
