My summary of the book

This graphic novel is about the attack perpetrated by an extremist group called AL-Qaeda on September 11, 2001. This attack changes America forever. President Bush wanted to know what happened and who was responsible for the attack. Will they ever find out who’s responsible?

My thoughts

“Don Brown brings his journalistic eye and attention to moving individual stories to help teens contextualize what they already know about the day and broaden their understanding of the chain of events that occurred in the attack’s wake.” – Amazon.

In the shadow of the Fallen Towers book has got me thinking about my country, the USA. This graphic novel gave me a better understanding of the events of September 11 with words and powerful drawings. Dan Brown described not only the facts but the emotions as well. I was amazed by the dark artwork that translated the feelings so well. I was horrified about some people’s actions toward Muslims.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
