Kimi Nakamura, a high school senior, is passionate about editing and designing dresses. However, her mother wants her to follow in her footsteps and become an artist, which has left Kimi with a severe case of artist’s block. When her mother discovers this, she becomes upset, so Kimi takes up her maternal grandparents’ offer to visit them in Japan in search of her true passion. Along the way, Kimi meets a boy named Akira, who becomes a valuable aid in her journey. Will Kimi be able to discover her heart’s true desire, or will her future remain uncertain?

Hold on to your seats because I have a thrilling book recommendation for you! When I saw the title, my heart skipped a beat because it was my cat’s name. And the book did not disappoint!
It’s a modern-day tale that takes you on a wild adventure through America and Japan. The author has done an exceptional job describing the breathtaking tourist sites in Kyoto, Japan (on my bucket list now) and even the McDonald’s there, which sounds great!

Kimi is a one-of-a-kind girl who is kind and determined to pursue her dreams. She has a heart of gold and is always there for her friends. Her mom is a gifted artist, and her grandparents are incredible, especially her grandfather, who reminded me of my grandpa. And then there is Akira, a sweet and funny boy who adds the perfect humor to the story.

This book is a must-read for anyone who has a burning passion they want to pursue. It will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions and inspire you to chase your dreams and make them a reality.
