My brief summary of the book

Garlic (the garlic person) is late again for Market Day. Celery spots smoke coming out from the chimney of the creepy castle up on a hill. The witch Agnes thinks there’s probably a vampire in the castle. The vegetable folk thinks Celery and Garlic should go to the spooky castle. Will they set aside their differences and work together to defeat the vampire?

My thoughts

The book is fantastic and very veggie ;). I thought the idea of veggie people was hilarious and fun. The illustrations are well-drawn, and the palette is very earthy and dark. I liked the idea of a Vampire, too. Overall, great but short story.

My rating

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.
