Nikki finally gets to go to Paris, the city of her dreams, but her trip will be challenging.
Nikki Maxwell has been ashamed of a fiasco in a concert that involved coupons to the Cupcakery as an offer. But there is something to brighten up her day: Trevor Chase, the manager of her band, Actually I’m Not Really Sure Yet, has offered to put her crew on a popular teen magazine in France by visiting Paris to get the photo done. Nikki is super excited for the trip. However, things go differently than planned. Her enemy Mackenzie works with the manager, an old rival of her friend Brandon’s resurfaces, and Nikki is trying to solve it all. Will Nikki succeed?
I haven’t read Dork Diaries in a while, but I’m so glad to have received this book. I adore this series, and you can imagine my joy when I started reading this book. And, of course, I’ve read every Dork Diaries book!
This book brought me back so many memories of fun times reading them. And this 15th book didn’t disappoint; it’s so hilarious. The drawings are even better!
Nikki’s trip to Paris reminded me of my trip to Belgium. The plane ride, studying French beforehand, and visiting boulangeries (bakeries in French) reminded me of my journey. There is even a French glossary at the end.
Nikki is a relatable character with pretty good humor. Nikki is also a good artist. Mackenzie is as mean girl as ever. Brandon is his usually shy but friendly self. Andre (the rival) is very posh. Nikki’s two friends, Chloe and Zoey, are loyal and funny.
Give this book to fans of this series who let their inner dork shine!
