A spooky and mysterious story about a twelve-year-old girl and her ghost sidekick trying to get off a servant of Death’s radar.

Everything in New Orleans is old and different from what it seems. After reforming a poltergeist from the catacombs of Paris and narrowly avoiding death from a mysterious skeletal man, Cass is going to a third haunted city: New Orleans, LA, USA. It turns out the man was an emissary of Death, and he will take back Cass’ life. With the help of her friends and a secret society, Cass must go head-to-head with this servant of Death to stay in this world.

This is the last book in this epic trilogy and my favorite.
Major plot twist: I went to New Orleans in the summer of 2022. It was like two separated neighborhoods; there was a modern part, and the French Quarter was like walking back in time. I even went on a ghost tour, and the stories were fascinating—especially the Muriel restaurant and the Lalaurie mansion.
I love how the author intertwined the city’s history and the plot.
Perfect setting in New Orleans, with a mix of Ghosts, Voodoo, and psychics.

Cass is still a very cool character. She is very crafty, and that could lead her to trouble sometimes. Jacob is still the funniest character. Personally, he is my fav.

I am so sad the series ended. Could you please keep writing books with Cassie?

The Bridge of Souls theme is to give things all you’ve got. I recommend this book to people who want to go to New Orleans and paranormal enthusiasts.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
