My brief summary of the book

Maggie feels a bit lonely lately because her parents are busy getting ready for the new baby. She is having her tenth birthday, and she would love to get a new puppy. The moment Maggie held a puppy from a shelter, she got allergic. It turns out she is allergic to any animals with fur or feathers. Maggie is devastated and must find a way to cope with her allergy.

My thoughts

I am grateful I am not allergic to anything that I know. I have one dog, Walnut, and two cats, Mochi and Waffles.

A touching book with a lot of sweet moments written with compassion for people with allergies. The illustrations are excellent (cartoony style) have a lovely color palette and colorful scenes.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
