There was once a rover built for going to Mars. The rover’s mission was to find life or evidence of life on Mars. During his time in the lab, while being built and tested, the rover was named Resilience, Res for short, because he would have to be resilient during his time on Mars. He also met another rover called Journey, who taught him to be rational and many other things he would need during his time on Mars. But there was something off with Res. Res could feel human emotions and think like a human would.

Resilience would be sent to Mars with two missions in mind; he would have to find evidence of life on Mars, and he would have to find another rover named Courage that went offline during his mission on Mars.

What a unique and captivating read right on time for back-to-school, filled with STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and even History!

The book was divided into five parts:

  • Part one Preparing
  • Part two Launch
  • Part three Roving
  • Part four Our mission
  • Part five Return

Some other honorable mentions in the book were the characters Xander, Raina, Gaurdian, and Fly. Xander was quirky and caring, and Raina was hard-working and determined. Gaurdian is intelligent and accurate. Fly was the best and was my favorite character. Fly is a drone partnered with Resilience, so Fly can gather more info and take pictures of Mars at an angle Resilience can not. Fly was super funny and good at singing. Fly was what Resilience needed to brighten her day.

Reading this book requires a little background, like knowing what a satellite is, what a drone is, what a rover is, and what they do.
This book is the perfect Science fiction read for anyone who enjoys the topic of space.
