My brief summary of the book

Esther Gold, a 13-year-old girl, loves Halloween more than anything in the whole world.  She especially loves to go Trick-or-Treating. This year her parents decided that she would stop going trick-or-treating because she is way too old. Esther is determined to do it no matter what. Esther hatches a plan to go trick-or-treating with her best friend Augustin secretly. Then disaster strikes when no one is answering their doors. They soon realize that everyone is asleep except Esther, Augustin, Sasha (Esther’s bully), and Mr. Gabler (One of Esther’s neighbors). They all must work together to find out who is causing this eternal sleep.

My thoughts

The Halloween Moon is a very spooky and entertaining book! It’s one of my favorite Halloween books that I have read so far. I think the cover of this book is unique and fun. The story is a cliff-hanger and had my stomach twisted at some parts. My favorite character is clever Esther; she is brave, ingenious, and loves Halloween like me.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
