Johnny Buck is a famous rock singer who is having a concert here—in Sweet Valley. Jessica and Elizabeth are excited and ready to go, but their parents won’t let them. Elizabeth is okay with this and prepared to move on to dress shopping for the upcoming winter formal, but Jessica is not. Jessica is dead set on going to Johnny Buck’s concert, claiming that she and this famous singer had a connection when he threw his hat at her the last time she saw him. Jessica would do anything in order to go- even go over her fear of dogs. But one lie becomes another, and one favor becomes ten, and it won’t be long before things go out of hand.

I am a fan of this series, so I was excited to see what it had to offer next. The plot was fascinating, and I found myself wondering how far Jessica would go to see Johnny Buck. Although Jessica and Elizabeth are interesting characters, they are very different despite being twins. Elizabeth is quieter, timid, intelligent, and caring, while Jessica is bolder and more popular, with a bubbly and passionate personality. I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of the series or is looking for a fun read.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
