Evie has just returned from her last adventure, filled with the persistent belief that her parents are alive. Determined to find them, she decides to venture back into the dark sun side. However, the clackity has different plans. It wants Evie to play a game, and if she wins, she will be able to find her parents. Evie must navigate the clackity’s cruel game to uncover their whereabouts.

I was absolutely thrilled to dive into this latest installment, especially since I had thoroughly enjoyed the previous two books in the series! Each character is crafted with such depth, and I was particularly excited to see more exploration of the enigmatic parents who had been alluded to in the earlier stories. The protagonist, Evie, is a delight, and her loyal companion, a charming bird, adds heart to the narrative. However, it was the clackity that truly captured my curiosity. I find myself pondering his identity, the untold tales of his past, and the circumstances that shaped him into the daunting creature he has become.

Overall, this book is a captivating read, overflowing with intrigue and emotion, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a well-crafted story!
