Aniana wants to pursue her passion for swimming, and she has to face a tricky challenge to convince her mother to let her swim.

Aniana Del Mar, or Ani, has a deep love for swimming. However, she keeps it a secret from her mother, who strictly forbids her from swimming due to the loss of her brother, Ani’s uncle, in a hurricane. One day, Ani’s condition worsened after swimming, and she had to seek medical attention. After a diagnostic test, she was diagnosed with JIA (Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis). During one of her appointments, Ani accidentally revealed her secret about the swim meets to her mother, who became furious and banned her from swimming forever. Despite her mother’s decision, Ani is determined to prove her wrong and works hard to achieve her dreams. Will Ani overcome the challenges and succeed?

This book was emotional and poetic. The story was not only pleasing but also enlightening. I learned so much about JIA and felt so terrible for poor Ani, who was battling the disease.

Ani was a courageous character, and I loved her determination. She was passionate about the water and never gave up on her dreams. Her best friend, Maria Tere, was the kind of friend we all wish we had – supportive and fiercely loyal. She quickly became my favorite character.

Ani’s dad was a fantastic character, and her little brother Matti was adorable. But her mom, well, let’s say she was a bit too strict for my liking. And then there was Madrina, Ani’s godmother, and Maria Tere’s mom. She was such a wise character, and I couldn’t help but admire her.

This book is a must-read if you’re looking for an inspiring story set in beautiful prose. Trust me; you won’t be able to put it down!
