Reese and Dean have recently completed their last adventure in Erutuf National Park and long to go there again. But their wish was granted when they found a blog called Bison Blog that contained a magical video of a bison in a field. Once again, they were transported into Erutuf National Park, but instead of being on the beach, they were in the valleys in the middle of the island. There, they met a bison called Lamar, who needed their help. Lamar needs Reese and Dean to relocate a hidden map to prevent pirates from stealing it. That same day, Reese told her friend Olivia about Erutuf National Park, but Olivia didn’t believe her, so this caused Reese to be sad and upset all day. Olivia and her brother Jake went to Reese’s house to apologize, but at Reese’s home, Olivia and her brother Jake saw the video and were transported to Erutuf National Park. Together, the four kids must complete the mission Lamar assigned them.

Bison Blog is the second book in the Erutuf National Park series. My sister Paige was a beta reader of this book and got a mention in the book. Cool, isn’t it? This book is a creative prequel to the book Turtle Tube. Fun fact: I read this book in the Smoky Mountains NP.
When I first saw this book, I laughed because my cat is a miniature replica of a bison. I did not read the first book, but I understood the story well.
Each character had a diverse personality. I don’t have a favorite character because All the characters are so good it is hard to choose a favorite.
It is also funny that the pirates in the story always wear disguises and never that traditional pirate outfit you see in stories. Overall, this book fits any imaginative 8-12 year old.

My rating

Rating: 5 out of 5.
