As owners of a small gang of long-haired, dangerously bright, and arrogantly sassy cats (two) and a dear and dull dog, we wrote down the best middle-grade books featuring cats.
Animals generally make great pet characters for stories. They can be annoying or sneaky, as well as loveable. Our cats often disobey, mess our house, squabble, sleep, or eat, but we love them like crazy.

If your kid is a cat lover like my daughter Laly, and you are looking for fur-midable middle-grade books, you are at the right place. There are plenty of books that will take you on an adventure alongside a furry friend. From the bad guy (or should I say the Bad Kitty) to the cutest kitten, every cat lover will find his tail (tale)!

Why are we so drawn to cats? Perhaps because they are purr-fect!

Laly’s purr-fect list of books featuring cats:

“I love books about cats because they’re always ridiculous, fluffy, and cute characters. They can be mischievous, or they’re the kind that slips and fall but always get back on their feet or, ‘shall I say, paws. I have experience with two fluffy and cute cats, and when I’m with them, it’s like I am reading a funny, live comic. So here are my meow-tastic cat books list!” – Laly.
